Low Sodium Michelada - A Bloody Beer

A refreshing blend of tomato juice, spices, and beer.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tsp Sodium Free Chili powder
  • 1 Lime: Juice of 1 plus 1 lime wedge
  • 2 cups ice
  • 3 ounces Low Sodium Tomato Juice 1/3 cup
  • 4 dashes Low Sodium hot sauce such as Tabasco
  • 4 dashes Lea & Perrin's Low Sodium Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 bottle Chilled Mexican-style Beer such as Corona
  • 1/4 cup of Chili-Lime Sugar

Method
 

  1. Spread the Chili-Lime Sugar on a small plate.
  2. Take the lime wedge and run it along the rim of the glass, making sure to moisten the inside and outside of the rim of the glass.
  3. Turn the glass upside down and dip the rim into the Chili-Lime Sugar.
  4. Fill glass with ice.
  5. Pour in the lime juice, chili powder, tomato juice, hot sauce, and Worcestershire.
  6. Stir to incorporate.
  7. Fill the rest of the way full with beer.
  8. Garnish with the lime wedge.
  9. Enjoy!
